Summary
On this tour you will be walking on South East Europe’s highest mountain ranges – Rila and Pirin with their absolute highlights: the Seven Rila Lakes hike and the climb to the marble ridge of Vihren Peak. Not only is the altitude spectacular and the landscapes magnificent, but both ranges are National Parks, rich in flora and fauna. For example in Pirin Mountains you might even come across Edelweiss flower – the symbol of alpinism and mountain hiking.

Arrive at Sofia Airport. Transfer to Govedartsi, a transfer for about 1,30 hours.

Transfer to Borovets resort. Take the cabin lift up. Walk from Yastrebets Cabin lift to Musala Peak and back.

Walk from Hut Vihren (1950m) to the second highest peak in Bulgaria – Mt Vihren 2914m. Finish at the oldest tree in Bulgaria, the Baikusheva Mura (more than 1300 years old).
