Staro Zhelezare: the Bulgarian open air museum for modern art

Ventsislav Piryankov was born and raised in the small, mountainous village of Staro Zhelezare. Currently, based in Poland, he studied and later started to teach art in the Poznan University of Arts. Today, some of his students, his wife and himself, are turning Staro Zhelezare into a piece of art, by painting famous artworks from MoMA and important figures from the world stage on the walls and facades of the village's houses.
